8/10. Action game. Great graphics, good soundtrack, decent mechanics. In this game, a red-haired woman and her less intelligent animal-themed friend travel across a beautiful nature-infused land in a personally-fueled quest to defeat an evil mastermind, played by Andy Serkis. The story works, but the game is a little short for characterization, and the hallucination scenes feel off. In addition, there’s little replay value, and the fight mechanics feel sluggish, with little variety after learning one good combo. Also the ending is a weird-ass cliffhanger. The funniest part? Ninja Theory saying they couldn’t make Heavenly Sword 2 because they had a “better” idea. Look forward to Hell Blade (No, seriously, that’s the name of their next game).
